Product Description
The Reserve R700 is the largest floorstanding model in Polk's Reserve Series, a lineup that carries several driver and cabinet technologies down from Polk's flagship Legend Series. It works as the front pair of a stereo system or as the left/right anchors of a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X home theater setup, and it carries Hi-Res Audio and IMAX Enhanced certification.
A 1-inch Pinnacle ring-radiator tweeter and 6.5-inch Turbine Cone midrange handle the upper registers from a sealed sub-chamber, while two 8-inch long-throw woofers, driven through Polk's Power Port 2.0 (a floor-firing port with an X-Port insert designed to quiet turbulence), cover the bottom end.
The cabinet uses cross-bracing and rounded edges to control resonance and edge diffraction, and the tower is available in black or walnut-brown vinyl finishes with a magnetic grille and dual nickel-plated binding posts for bi-wiring.
