Why this guarantee is easier to honour than it sounds
We would rather be straight with you than make a dramatic promise. Almost every brand we carry enforces MAP — Minimum Advertised Price — so authorized dealers all advertise the same number. In practice there is usually nothing to match, because the price is already identical everywhere you look.
We publish this guarantee so you can stop comparison shopping and get on with the actual decision: which component is right for you, and who you want handling the order.
What qualifies
- The item on our side must carry the Authorized Dealer badge.
- The competitor must be an authorized US dealer for that brand.
- The item must be identical — same model, same configuration, same finish — and new, in stock, and available to ship.
- The price must be publicly advertised and verifiable at the time of your request.
What does not qualify
- Grey-market, parallel-import, or unauthorized sellers. Those units usually carry no valid manufacturer warranty, which is the whole reason their price is lower.
- Used, open-box, demo, refurbished, or B-stock items.
- Auction sites, marketplace third-party sellers, and member-only or employee pricing.
- Prices that result from a pricing error, or clearance of a discontinued model.
A word on prices that look too good
If you find the same new item dramatically below MAP, it is worth asking why. In this category that price nearly always means an unauthorized seller, and it usually means no warranty. We are happy to tell you honestly whether a seller you have found is authorized — even if the answer costs us the sale.
